Sri Lanka, Sept. 27 -- The Sri Lankan Ambassador to Israel, Nimal Bandara, has announced that two Sri Lankan workers who left for construction jobs in Israel will be repatriated to the country today, September 27.

In a statement, the Ambassador said the workers are being sent back due to misconduct and in response to requests made by their families.

Ambassador Bandara clarified that one of the workers was found using drugs and roaming in various places, while the other had run away from his workplace, possibly due to mental stress.

He also noted that approximately 12 people facing similar issues have been repatriated to Sri Lanka during the recent past.
