Sri Lanka, July 25 -- Three people, including two police sergeants, have been arrested for shooting and killing a deer in the Makulugaswewa area of Galkiriyagama.

The incident occurred earlier today (25).

Residents of the area apprehended the suspects and handed them over to the Makulugaswewa Police, who then made the arrests.

The two police sergeants arrested are attached to the Madatugama and Giranegama police stations.

The third individual is a resident of the Siyambalagamuwa area in Mahawa, according to our correspondent.
