Sri Lanka, Oct. 8 -- The police have recovered the bodies of two sisters from the same family, suspected to have been beaten to death, behind a house in the Ginigala area of Habaraduwa.

Police stated that bruise injuries were visible on the bodies, and the deceased were retired teachers aged 81 and 87.

A group of individuals had allegedly arrived while the two women were at home, attacked them with stones to commit the murder, and dumped the bodies behind the house.

The motive for the alleged murder has not yet been revealed, and it has been disclosed that the two women were living alone in the house.
