SriLanka, Feb. 22 -- Two individuals died after a car moving across the Pelapolgahawatta railway crossing between Payagala and Maggona collided with the 'Galu Kumari' express train today (22). Payagala Police state that another injured person is currently receiving hospital treatment.

The collision occurred when the 'Galu Kumari' express train No. 8057, traveling from Beliatta to Maradana, struck a red car moving towards the boat yard across the Maggona Pelapolgahawatta crossing. Local residents report that the car was dragged nearly 200 meters following the impact.
