Sri Lanka, May 17 -- Two out of four individuals who went to bathe in the Victoria Reservoir near the Teldeniya Bambaragala Temple drowned and passed away.

Another individual disappeared after drowning during the incident, whilst the remaining person was successfully rescued, police say.

A search operation was immediately launched by the police, residents, and security forces to locate the drowned and missing individuals, leading to the recovery of two bodies.

Efforts to locate the remaining missing individual continue, police noted.
