Sri Lanka, Aug. 8 -- The Police Special Task Force has arrested two men with over 10 kilograms of the drug "kush," which police say is worth more than Rs. 1 billion. The arrests were made in separate raids in the Gothatuwa and Kaduwela areas.

Acting on a tip-off, officers from the Special Operations Unit II first arrested a 64-year-old man in the Manigamulla area of Gothatuwa. He was found with 5.154kg of kush and Rs. 100,000 in cash.

Further investigations led to the arrest of a 35-year-old man near the Kaduwela entrance of the Southern Expressway, as he was transporting 5.106kg of kush and Rs. 150,000 in a car.

Both suspects and the seized items have been handed over to the Gothatuwa Police Station for further investigation.
