Two arrested for kidnapping Beruwala resort owner over money dispute
Sri Lanka, Sept. 20 -- Two suspects were arrested by the Kalutara Crimes Division yesterday (19) for allegedly kidnapping a resort owner in Beruwala over a financial dispute and robbing him of gold jewellery, cash, three mobile phones, bank cards, and a motorcycle.
According to the police, the suspects, who are residents of Maggona, had arrived at the business location on a rental basis two days prior to the incident.
They had threatened the businessman, forced him into a three-wheeler, and transported him to an area near the Maggona public playground.
