Sri Lanka, Oct. 23 -- Due to the prevailing adverse weather conditions, the Sri Lanka Railways Department has taken steps to temporarily suspend train operations between Rambukkana, Peradeniya, and Gampola railway stations on both tomorrow (24) and the day after (25).

The Railways Department states that this situation has arisen due to a mound of earth collapsing onto the railway line following a landslide near the Kadigamuwa railway station.

Emergency restoration work to repair the railway line while mitigating the hazardous situation is scheduled to be carried out tomorrow and the day after, and accordingly, all train trips between Rambukkana - Peradeniya and Gampola will be temporarily suspended during those two days.
