Sri Lanka, July 18 -- The number of tourists visiting the country surpassed the 1.2 million mark.

The total number of tourist arrivals until July 15 stood at 1,236,695, according to the Tourism Development Authority.

Meanwhile, during the first 15 days of this month, the number of tourists arriving in Sri Lanka reached 90,122.
