Sri Lanka, Sept. 22 -- Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama today (22) ordered Cinnamon Gardens Police to seek instructions from the Attorney General and report back to the court regarding the case of an office assistant who allegedly stole 12 printer toners valued at over Rs. 500,000 from the National Police Commission office.
The order was issued after police stated that the suspect had admitted his guilt and requested a directive on how to proceed with the case.
A sergeant told the court that the total value of the stolen items was estimated at Rs. 593,835.
