Sri Lanka, Sept. 27 -- Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath has discussed the possibility of Sri Lanka hosting the Miss Universe pageant, an event that could provide opportunities to promote the country's tourism industry and enhance its international profile.

Herath held discussions with Olivia Quido, Vice President of Global Partnerships at the Miss Universe Organization, along with Caroline Jurie, former Mrs. World 2020 and Founder and Chairperson of Caroline J Global Holdings (Pvt) Ltd. The meeting was also attended by Nishan Deepal and Kusal Perera, Co-Founders and Directors of the company.
