Sri Lanka, Sept. 26 -- A suspended police sub-inspector was arrested by Bandaragama Police with 3,750ml of illicit liquor in his possession.

The suspect was arrested while transporting the liquor using his motorbike.

He had been suspended three months ago, while attached to the Boralesgamuwa Police.

Further legal action is being taken.
