Sri Lanka, Sept. 20 -- Police have arrested two suspects for allegedly assaulting a police officer with a knife and possessing a large quantity of heroin and 'Ice'.
The arrests were made during a raid carried out by officers from the Negombo Divisional Crimes Investigation Bureau in the Katana police division.
On September 17, a police team attempted to search two suspicious individuals in the Kadirana area, when one of them allegedly stabbed a police sergeant before both suspects fled.
During the subsequent raid, officers arrested the two suspects, aged 26 and 27, who are residents of the Thimbirigaskatuwa area.
