Sri Lanka, Aug. 2 -- A suspect has surrendered to the Hungama police following a shooting that took place this evening (2) in Pingama, Hungama.
The police spokesperson said that the shooting was a result of a land dispute.
The shooting, which occurred at approximately 4:21 PM resulted in the death of 30-year-old Dissanayake Mudiyanselage Nimesh Kalum Kumara, a father of one.
Police say he was shot in the chest with a 12-bore firearm while visiting a shop.
He died at the scene.
The shooter later surrendered to the Hungama police with the firearm.
Hungama police are conducting further investigations.
