Sri Lanka, Feb. 23 -- Investigations reveal that the shooter arrested for the deaths of a lawyer and his wife in front of an Akuregoda supermarket, identified as Sunil Ranjit alias "Mahasohon Kalu," participated in more than 10 previous homicides.

The suspect currently remains in the custody of the Western South Crimes Division under a 90-day detention order and will face an identification parade regarding the recent double homicide and other incidents.

A special police team plans to inspect a two-story house in Kotikawatta where the suspect reportedly tested firearms the day before the attack.
