SriLanka, Feb. 22 -- Officers from the North Central Province Crime Investigation Bureau arrested a suspect in possession of 255 grams of heroin during a special raid in the Anuradhapura Sacred City area. Police Headquarters stated that the operation took place yesterday (21) morning following a secret tip-off received by the investigation unit.

The 29-year-old suspect, a resident of Medawachchiya, was intercepted and searched, leading to the discovery of the narcotics. Authorities handed over the individual to the Anuradhapura Police Station for further interrogation and legal action.
