Sri Lanka, Aug. 24 -- The mother of former State Intelligence Service Director, retired Major General Suresh Sallay, addressed a letter to President Anura Kumara Dissanayake yesterday (23).

In the letter directed to the Presidential Secretariat, she states:

"I am writing this letter not as a politician or as a lawyer. I am writing as a mother who is in pain for her son. My son, retired Major General Suresh Sallay, served in the Sri Lanka Army for thirty-seven years.
