Sri Lanka, Aug. 27 -- Wind speed in sea areas off Mannar to Kankesanthurai to Puttalam and Hambantota to Potuvil may increase up to 50-60 kmph, says the Department of Meteorology.

The department mentions that sea waves off Puttalam to Potuvil via Colombo, Galle, and Matara could also rise to 2-2.5 metres.

Accordingly, the fishing and naval communities are advised to remain vigilant regarding this matter.
