SriLanka, Feb. 22 -- A vessel carrying 3,700 metric tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas is scheduled to reach Sri Lankan shores today (22).
Litro Gas Lanka has indicated that the current supply constraints are expected to be fully resolved by tomorrow, with distribution being fast-tracked to clear the backlog.
Trade Minister Wasantha Samarasinghe confirmed that the state-owned supplier has already ramped up its daily output to stabilise the market following recent disruptions.
Furthermore, the Ministry of Trade has announced plans to resume the issuance of new Litro gas cylinders from 12 March, providing much-needed access for new domestic consumers.
