Sri Lanka, Aug. 22 -- The Ministry of Buddhasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs announced that state allocations of Rs.10 million were provided to develop Muslim places of worship in the Gampaha District in conjunction with the 42nd National Milad-un-Nabi State Festival.

The Ministry says this programme was implemented with the objective of creating a future filled with harmony while strengthening religious places.

The Ministry further announces that this step was taken by the Ministry of Buddhasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs and the Department of Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs, and it is expected to develop facilities at religious places in the area and further foster inter-religious harmony through it.
