Sri Lanka, Aug. 14 -- The Colombo Magistrate's Court has ordered the remand of Acting Director of the Police Cultural Division, Senior SSP Sathish Gamage, until August 19.

He was arrested by the Bribery Commission (CIABOC) on charges of bribery and money laundering.

Colombo Additional Magistrate Pavithra Sanjeevani Pathirana issued the order after considering arguments from both the Bribery Commission and the defense lawyers.

The suspect is accused of opening three bank accounts in another person's name while he was the Senior Superintendent of Police in charge of the Galle and Embilipitiya Police Divisions.
