Sri Lanka, Aug. 18 -- Philip Ward informed Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment, and Tourism, Vijitha Herath, that Sri Lanka's food insecurity has dropped from 24% to 16%.
The new representative of the World Food Programme (WFP), Philip Ward, expressed his appreciation for Sri Lanka's recent progress on food insecurity during a discussion held after he presented his credentials to the Minister today (18).
During the meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment, and Tourism, Minister Vijitha Herath highlighted Sri Lanka's main priorities in its national development agenda.
