Sri Lanka, Sept. 24 -- The Sri Lanka Police have introduced a new series of telephone numbers for the public to provide information on illicit drugs, including heroin, ice, cocaine, and cannabis.

This measure was taken to combat the widespread drug menace across the island.

Police Headquarters announced that citizens can directly call the mobile number of the Senior Deputy Inspector General (SDIG) in charge of their province to provide this information.

The police guarantee that the confidentiality of all information received will be fully protected.
