Sri Lanka, July 22 -- The Sri Lankan passport moved forward in global passport rankings.

According to the latest Henley Passport Index, which measures the strength of passports worldwide, Sri Lanka climbed to the 94th position.

This stands out as the highest ranking recorded by the Sri Lankan passport since 2014.

In 2021, the Sri Lankan passport fell to 107th position on the index, and demonstrated gradual growth since then to reach the current level.
