Sri Lanka, July 19 -- Sri Lanka's first skill development and day care centre dedicated specifically to children with disabilities opened in the Naduvootthu area of the Kinniya Divisional Secretariat division in Trincomalee.

The centre, established as a significant step towards creating a safe environment with equal opportunities for children with disabilities, provides all necessary supportive facilities, including day care services and skill development programmes for nearly 100 children.

Additionally, special transport facilities are arranged for these children with the support of the Sri Lanka Transport Board.
