Sri lanka and Australia forge closer ties across key sectors
Sri Lanka, Sept. 30 -- Bilateral relations between Sri Lanka and Australia advanced following the successful conclusion of the sixth round of senior officials talks and the fourth round of the strategic maritime dialogue in Colombo on September 21.
The high-level meetings were led by the first assistant secretary of south and central asia at australia's department of foreign affairs and trade alongside the additional secretary at sri lanka's ministry of foreign affairs, foreign employment and tourism.
Both nations examined potential avenues for expanding collaboration spanning bilateral political affairs, agriculture, trade, defence, and education.
