Sri Lanka, Dec. 22 -- A dedicated "Operations Room" at the Army Headquarters is now active to maintain public safety and order during the upcoming festive period, following instructions from the Defence Secretary. The Ministry of Defence announced that this facility will function continuously until the end of the season.

The centre serves as the primary coordination hub to ensure close cooperation between the Sri Lanka Army, Navy, Air Force, and the Police. Key objectives include responding swiftly to security challenges or emergencies, facilitating the rapid exchange of information between agencies, and ensuring all security forces remain at a high state of operational readiness.
