Sri Lanka, Aug. 20 -- In a special search operation conducted yesterday (19), Sri Lankan security forces inspected 26,315 individuals, 10,500 cars, and 7,810 motorcycles.

During the raids carried out across the island, 856 people were arrested for drug-related offenses, while 16 individuals directly involved in crimes and 417 warrant holders were also taken into custody.

A total of 6,390 personnel from the police, Special Task Force, and tri-forces were involved in the operation.
