Sri Lanka, Sept. 28 -- A special blessing ceremony was held today (28th) at the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic premises in Kandy to mark the 76th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army.

The ceremony was organised under the patronage of the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo, with the aim of obtaining the blessings of the Sacred Tooth Relic for the Army Flags.

The Army reported that the ceremony was attended by a large number of senior officers, officers, and other ranks, representing all regiments of the Army.
