Sri Lanka, Oct. 2 -- A special awareness workshop was held today at Parliament for the heads of 457 state institutions subject to inquiry by the Public Enterprises Committee (COPE).
According to a statement from the Parliamentary Communications Department, around 700 officials - including chairpersons, directors general, chief executive officers, and other senior position holders of these institutions - were convened in three separate groups for the workshop.
The session was chaired by COPE Chairman, MP Dr. Nishantha Samaraweera, and attended by resource persons such as Auditor General G.H.D. Dharmapala, and heads of the Departments of Public Enterprises, National Budget, and Management Services.
