Sri Lanka, July 26 -- Piliyandala Police have arrested the son of a millionaire businessman from Panadura and another young man over their alleged connection in numerous robberies involving women's handbags and mobile phones. Police stated that these robberies occurred in several areas around Colombo.
One of the suspects recently returned from a holiday in Australia, while the other is a resident of Panadura.
Police recovered over 20 mobile phones (including about 15 smartphones) valued at approximately Rs. 2.5 million, a motorcycle with fake number plates, two full-face helmets, two handbags, and 10,900 milligrams of heroin from the suspects.
The arrests were made during a special police operation in the Bokundara area.
