Sri Lanka, July 15 -- The Samagi Jana Balawegaya has suspended the party membership of 6 of its councilors from the Beruwala Urban Council.

This follows their support for the National People's Power during the election of the Mayor and Deputy Mayor.

SJB General Secretary, MP Ranjith Madduma Bandara, stated that a charge sheet will be issued to them in due course.
