Srilanka, March 29 -- Police arrested 16 people while they played a game of "Buru" inside a bus parked overnight at the Diyatalawa bus station.

The group includes bus drivers, conductors, and shop workers, according to official police reports. Investigations revealed that the individuals used a bus, which operated during the day and remained parked at night, to conduct gambling for money. Officers from the Bandarawela Police Division Crimes Investigation Unit conducted the raid following a tip-off regarding this long-running gambling den.

The suspects are due to appear in court.
