Sri Lanka, Oct. 10 -- The Department of Meteorology forecasts that rain or thundershowers are likely to occur in several places in the Eastern, Central, Uva, Southern, and Sabaragamuwa Provinces, as well as the Polonnaruwa, Mullaitivu, Kilinochchi, and Jaffna districts after 1:00 PM.

In the rest of the island, rain or thundershowers may occur at a few places after 1:00 PM.

The Department also noted that rain may occur in the Western and Southern Provinces during the morning hours.

A misty condition is expected in certain areas of the Sabaragamuwa, Central, and Uva provinces during the morning.
