Sri Lanka, June 15 -- The Department of Meteorology forecasted that several areas of the island will experience showers today (15), with certain regions likely to see moderately heavy rainfall and strong winds.
Showers are expected at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern, and Northwestern provinces, with rainfall exceeding 50 mm likely in some areas, particularly in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and the Nuwara Eliya, Kandy, Galle, and Matara districts.
Few showers are also expected in the Northern Province and the Anuradhapura district.
