Sri Lanka, Aug. 30 -- The President of the All-Island Restaurant and Canteen Owners' Association, Harshana Rukshan, stated that the prices of short eats will be increased by Rs.5 starting today (30), following the rise in wheat flour prices.

Accordingly, short eats including paratha, egg roti, vegetable roti, rolls, and patties will see a price increase of Rs.5.

A decision has also been made to increase the price of string hoppers by one rupee.

Meanwhile, All Island Bakery Owners' Association President N. K. Jayawardena stated that prices of bakery products, including bread, will also have to be increased in line with the wheat flour price hike. He added that the final decision regarding the matter will be announced to the media tomorr...
