Sri Lanka, Oct. 28 -- The department of meteorology has warned of possible thundershowers along with severe lightning in parts of the Monaragala, Ampara and Batticaloa districts during the evening and night.

The advisory notes that temporary strong winds may occur in these areas during thundershowers.

The department urges the public to take necessary precautions to minimize the risk of accidents caused by lightning.
