Sri Lanka, Oct. 24 -- Services at the Dayagama Regional Hospital have been suspended following an incident where an individual who brought an injured person for treatment allegedly threatened the hospital staff.

The suspension was imposed because the medical officers and other staff claimed that they lacked adequate security.

The incident occurred on October 20 when a group of people accompanied a person who had been injured in an assault to the Dayagama Regional Hospital for treatment.

Hospital authorities stated that during the incident, the individual allegedly issued death threats to two medical officers and assaulted a driver.
