Sri Lanka, Aug. 5 -- The Samagi Jana Balavegaya (SJB) has decided to present a no-confidence motion against Deputy Minister of Defence Aruna Jayasekara.

The decision was made at an SJB parliamentary group meeting held yesterday (4) under the leadership of Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa. An SJB MP stated that Jayasekara's position as Deputy Minister of Defence is seen as an obstacle to a fair investigation into the Easter attacks. The MP pointed out that this situation arose because Jayasekara served as the Eastern Province Commander at the time of the attacks.
