Sri Lanka, Aug. 10 -- The Leader of the Opposition, Sajith Premadasa, reaffirmed his support for the country's artists and donated a sum of Rs. 500,000 to the welfare fund of the Outstanding Song Creators Association during a fundraising event organised by the association at the Cinnamon Lakeside in Colombo recently.

The importance of supporting Sri Lanka's artistic community requires emphasis, Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa stated here, adding that music always provides mental solace and acts as a reliever of mental stress.
