Sri Lanka, Sept. 23 -- Delegation from the International Monetary Fund and the Leader of the Opposition, Sajith Premadasa, discussed key economic matters during a special meeting held at the Opposition Leader's office in Parliament.

Discussions focused on Sri Lanka's current economic situation, the program implemented under IMF support, and the country's economic vision beyond the current Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program.

Both parties paid attention to Sri Lanka's economic resilience after March 2027.

Matters regarding the country's external sector, foreign exchange reserves, debt sustainability, public financial position, and economic growth were discussed.
