Sri Lanka, June 2 -- The sacred Kapilavastu relics and the bowl relic of the Lord Buddha housed at the historic Mahiyangana Temple premises are scheduled to be brought back to the Waskaduwa Sri Subhuthi Temple starting this morning (2).

The journey will begin following the morning Sambuddha Pooja.

The sacred Kapilavastu relics will travel through the towns of Bibile, Medagama, and Nakkala to reach the historic Yudaganawa Raja Maha Vihara.

The midday Sambuddha Pooja will take place there, during which devotees will have the opportunity to pay homage to the relics.
