Sri Lanka, Oct. 21 -- The administration of Ruhuna University has temporarily prohibited 2nd and 3rd-year students of the Faculty of Agriculture from entering the faculty premises and ordered them to vacate their hostels immediately.

The decision follows a recent clash between two groups of students at the Faculty of Agriculture in Mapalana, Kamburupitiya, which left six students injured and led to the arrest of 21 students.

The university administration has not yet announced when normal access for the affected students will resume.
