Sri Lanka, April 26 -- Ambalangoda Police arrested a robbery gang allegedly directed by Gayan Manjula, a former member of the Rathgama Pradeshiya Sabha. Three youths aged 16, 17, and 18 were taken into custody, and they revealed details of the robberies during questioning.

The former local council member involved had been arrested with 'Ice' a few days prior and is currently in remand custody. Investigations revealed that under his guidance, furniture and equipment valued at approximately three million rupees were stolen from the home of a prison officer located near the councilor's residence in Akurala.
