SriLanka, March 31 -- Prices for all restaurant meals will increase starting at midnight today (31) in response to the recent revision of national electricity tariffs.

The All-Island Canteen and Restaurant Owners' Association announced this decision, citing the higher cost of utilities as the primary driver for the adjustment.

Under the new pricing structure, the cost of a lunch packet and kottu will rise by Rs. 30.

Short eats will see a price hike of Rs. 10, while the price of milk tea and plain tea will increase by Rs. 5.
