Sri Lanka, March 25 -- Everyone entering the court premises must be treated with respect, regardless of their status, according to Minister of Justice and National Integration, Attorney Harshana Nanayakkara.

He made these remarks while addressing a group of 69 newly recruited Grade III Court Security Officers during an orientation program held via Zoom at the Ministry auditorium.

The Minister emphasised that public officials now possess the freedom to perform their duties according to the law and public needs, free from personal influence or political pressure.

He noted that in a democratic society, while politicians set policy directions, public servants are responsible for executing them efficiently and fairly.
