Sri Lanka, Feb. 8 -- The Police Special Task Force (STF) has recovered a rare French-made "Liegeoise" pocket revolver during a raid in the Dungalpitiya police area yesterday (7).

Acting on a tip-off received by the STF Intelligence Division, a team of officers discovered the weapon hidden near a wall of an abandoned house close to the beach in Thalahena.

The seized firearm is a unique antique-style "pocket revolver" featuring a signature foldable trigger and is designed to fire 5.5 mm calibre ammunition.
