Sri Lanka, Oct. 27 -- The Department of Meteorology forecasts intermittent rain in the Northern, North Central, Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, and North Western Provinces, as well as in the Galle and Matara Districts.

Strong winds of 50-60 km/h are also expected over the western slopes of the Central Hills and in several provinces including Western, Southern, and Northern regions, along with Trincomalee and Batticaloa Districts.

The public is advised to take precautions against potential hazards from strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
