Sri Lanka, Oct. 22 -- Sri Lanka Railways has confirmed that restrictions on train services along the up-country line are continuing today (22), following a series of earth slips affecting the tracks.

10 scheduled train services have been cancelled this morning alone, impacting routes between Kandy and Colombo Fort, and also between Kandy and Polgahawela.

The railway department indicated that operations will remain restricted until early this afternoon as cleanup and safety checks continue.

Commuters should note that the service linking Colombo Fort and Badulla is currently only running between Peradeniya and Badulla.
