Sri Lanka, Oct. 11 -- The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) is set to announce its final decision regarding the last electricity tariff revision for the current year on October 14.

This announcement was made by the Commission's Director of Communications Jayanath Herath.

The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) had proposed a 6.8% tariff increase for the final quarter of the year, spanning October to December.

The PUCSL initiated a public consultation process on this proposal, which began in the Eastern Province on September 18 and concluded in the Western Province on October 8.
